Booker Prize 2012 Shortlist announced

The shortlist for the 2012 Man Booker Prize has been announced.

The shortlisted titles are:

  • The Garden of Evening Mists (Tan Twan Eng, Myrmidon Books)
  • Swimming Home (Deborah Levy, And Other Stories)
  • Bring up the Bodies (Hilary Mantel, Fourth Estate)
  • The Lighthouse (Alison Moore, Salt Publishing)
  • Umbrella (Will Self, Bloomsbury)
  • Narcopolis (Jeet Thayil, Faber).

The winner of this year’s prize will be announced at a dinner in London on Tuesday 16 October.
